Landed safely (just).
Jetlag is just starting to take effect. I'm not going to nap, but wait till tonight to sleep, to try to establish English time sleeping patterns. I'm heading to a friends drink tonight, so I might fall asleep in my beer.

First leg of the flight over. 2 more to go. Airports are boring, but less so when you get wifi.
11th-Feb-2008 03:51 am - Monkeys and jetlag
I'm back in Aus. I had a stop over in Brunei, during which I took a boat ride through the Borneo jungle in both Brunei and Malaysia. I saw a crocodile and some monkeys. It was good.

It feels funny being back on the Central Coast. Everything is so familiar but doesn't feel like home. But then I guess that despite doing most of my growing up here, the central coast never really felt like home.

The jetlag is actually pretty much gone. I had a good 12 hours sleep on Saturday night, which seems to have knocked it on the head. I'm still getting odd patches of drowsiness but only small ones.

For the few of you who I'm still in contact with on lj, if your free during the day anytime during the next few weeks, let me know - I'd love to catch up for a coffee.

I saw Henry Rollins do a spoken word show last night. The man talked for 3 hours straight. It was fantastic. Hilariously funny, interesting and quite open. He's is very well travelled so many many travel stories.
It was a great 3 hours that flew by.

I can't get the song Leslie Anne Levine by The Decemberists out of my head. It's been stuck in there for days. I love the song, but I can only have the chorus going through my head so many times before I start to get sick of it.

Today is Wednesday. I'm not sure what the significance of that is. But it seems that it should count for something. Just in the same way that yesterday was Tuesday and tomorrow is Thursday. Surely everyday should carry some significance.
Maybe not. Maybe its just all part of the same thing.

Gah, I just can't seem to get comfortable in my chair today. No matter how I shift and squirm about it's just aching my arse.
Probably because the sun was actually shining today and my body was telling me I should be outside.

Today is really grinding on my nerves like sand between my teeth. END ALREADY.

Deep breaths... half hour to go.

In other news, I have a beard. It's been growing wild and free for 3.5 weeks. I think I'll shave it off as soon as I have time, it's getting boring.
8th-Jan-2008 01:30 pm - Gladiators, are you read?

Hahahahahahahahaha. They're doing another series of Gladiators? Oh man, I hope they show that over here.

Ever have days where you just can't seem to write properly? I do. Everything I write today looks like it was written by a 4 year old suffering from hypothermia trying to spell their name for the first time.
Hopefully tomorrow the section of my brain in charge of handwriting will be back online.

In 9 days time I'm going to see Henry Rollins do a spoken word show. I'm quite looking forward to it.

4 and a half weeks till I fly back to Aus. I'm feeling a little freaked out about it.

So tomorrow night (about 18 hours) I'm going to a new years party which has a theme of dressing as a lyric from a song. I only decided I was going today, so I have no lyric and no outfit. And, of course, as is always the case, as soon as I have to thing of lyric that suits me, I can't think of any. Any ideas anyone? Something that won't take much time to dress up as, since I have to work tomorrow, so have no time to go looking for outfit material.
